Generosity in Action: Local Businesses Support AADA’s 2024 Food Hampers
This year, Advocates Against Domestic Abuse (AADA) was once again reminded of the power of community and compassion. Thanks to the generosity of several local businesses, our 2024 Food Hamper initiative was a resounding success – bringing comfort and nourishment to families in need across Barbados.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to our partners who stepped forward with meaningful contributions:
- Golden Ridge Farms for their fresh, locally grown produce – a vibrant reminder of the richness of our island’s soil.
- H. Jason Jones for their staple food donations that helped form the foundation of each hamper.
- Smart Meats for providing quality protein options, ensuring that families received nutritious, well-balanced meals.
- Montrose (Chickmont) for their generous poultry donations that brought warmth to many households’ dinner tables.
- Clifton Market for their variety of pantry essentials that made each hamper wholesome and complete.
- Tinker Belle Farm for their farm-fresh vegetables and natural products that added a healthy touch to every basket.
- The Delicatessen for their gourmet items that offered a special treat and a taste of comfort during challenging times.
Each contribution helped make the 2024 AADA Food Hamper Programme not just a charitable effort, but a true community partnership. Together, we were able to provide tangible support and hope to survivors of domestic abuse and their families.
To everyone who donated, packed, and delivered – thank you for standing with us. Your kindness fuels our mission and reminds us that when we care for one another, we build a stronger, safer Barbados.
